News from the Italian Parks

The monitoring visit on the Life+ "Praterie" actions' progresses carried out yesterday by the representative of the Life Projects' external Monitoring Group, gave the Park Authority the opportunity to highlight the key point of the actions to start the project, which aims at the conservation of the Gran Sasso and Laga Mountains National Park's grasslands, especially addressing the Campo Imperatore's area and its particular problems.
For a more effective spread of the project's values the management of four "Help Desks" has been already entrusted, and starting from this summer they will be opened in Assergi, Barisciano, Macchia da Sole di Valle Castellana and Arsita. The Help Desks will be the interface between the project and the local communities, in order to actively listen to the needs and proposals coming from both stakeholders and citizens.
