Instead of 8 (as the project envisaged), Municipalities within the Gran Sasso-Laga National Park having renewed their pasture regulations are today 11. These municipalities have adopted inputs from their territories, as included in the Guidelines emerged from the sharing process carried out thanks to the "Praterie" project.
The municipalities of L'Aquila and Castelvecchio Calvisio have been the first to adopt the new regulations; over the last few days, they were joined by the municipalities of Carpineto della Nora, Brittoli, Civitella Casanova, Pizzoli, Castel del Monte, Calascio, Villa Santa Lucia, Ofena, and Santo Stefano di Sessanio, thus remarkably strengthening the participation of the protected area's communities to the most innovative, shared, and democratic experience ever promoted in this territory through a LIFE project, and raising national and international interest.
