Aree Protette Astigiane

Piemontese cattle is bred everywhere in Piedmont, especially in the Provinces of Turin, Asti and, above all, Cuneo. Oxen have a gray or very light brown coat, with black hair on the head (especially around the eye-sockets), on the neck, on the shoulders, and on the distal sections of the legs; sometimes also on the sides and the hind legs with formation of black spots. Cows have a white or very light brown coat with gray or very light brown shades. Calves have a bright light brown coat.
