In autumn 2008, also the local cheese produced in the malga according to the quality and healthiness requirements fixed by the production specifications, was awarded with the "Qualità Parco" label.
The first producer to obtain the "Qualità Parco" label was the summer pasture Malga Tuena of the Agricultural Company "Gruppo malghe Tuenno", producing cheese in limited quantities during the summer.
By awarding the label, the Park would like to support and enhance a particular quality product strongly linked to traditional mountain activities and to the territory of Adamello-Brenta.
The label represents a value added for the product that can be sold with a guarantee of quality. In order to obtain the label, cheese should meet a series of requirements established by the protocol approved by the Park Executive Board on 27th September 2007.
The local cheese of malga with the "Qualità Parco" label has also a second advantage: it belongs to a particular distribution chain directly connecting the "Qualità Parco" producer with the "Qualità Parco" restaurants, that must offer their guests local and genuine products.
