The itinerary leaves from the ferry boat of Imbersago. Planned according to the drawings by Leondardo Da Vinci, the ferry boat connects the two opposite shores of the river through a clever mechanism. From here, following the uphill road, you will reach the crossroads with the SP road coming from Merate. At the crossroads, turn right and follow the road leading to the Romanesque-style church of SS. Colombano and Gottardo, built in the 11th century, in the country hamlet Arlate di Calco. The presence of the monastery contributed to the expansion of the village, already favored by the presence of the river Adda and situated in a place where fording the river was easy.
