Alcantara Park meets the environmentalist associations
(Francavilla di Sicilia, 07 Dec 12) In December 6, 2013 the first meeting between the President
Bruno De Vita and the environmentalist associations took place in Francavilla
to define a common way to protect and safeguard the Alcantara's ecosystem.
In the presence of the representatives of the Italian Alpine Club (Giambattista
Condorelli), Fareambiente (Sergio Marino) Rangers (Domenico Mannino) and Iseta
(Filippo Santoro), a serene and fruitful debate on the territory's needs was
carried out.
In Bruno De Vita's opinion beyond the necessary actions to protect the river
- that should be implemented through the appointed institutions collaborating
with each other - also the establishment of the "Park's Community" seems
to be appropriate: a special council of experts should define in a strategic
way the environmental priorities.
