Parco Regionale del Corno alle Scale

Before construction of the existing paved road, this sixteenth-century sanctuary was immersed in woodlands on a path leading to the high mountain pastures and the Strofinatoio Pass. Shepherds and woodsmen visited this religious site, as did countless pilgrims arriving from the nearby valleys to worship Our Lady of the Maple Tree, renowned for performing miracles, as can be seen by the numerous votive offerings preserved inside the church.
