A stroll with the Duke
The point of departure is Mesola town centre. After visiting the castle, get to the XVII-century Abate Tower and nearby Fasanara Wood; the XVIII-century Palù tower is instead reached by bordering the Mesola Wood towards the sea. Moving toward the lagoon you will find the town of Goro.
Green reflections
A bike itinerary along the river which looks like an embroidery: departing from Mesola, go south along the riverbank, with the Mesola flatland wood on one side and the Po River on the other, as far as Goro. Get to the Po river mouth; by Gorino, charming spots around the lagoon can be reached on foot or by bike.
Flamingos flying
The Giralda road behind the Pomposa Abbey leads to the road to Volano. Across the Canneviè - Porticino valleys and Volano's old town you will reach the charming landscape of the Bertuzzi, Cantone and Nuova valleys.
A very large colony of flamingos has lived in the area for several years, from April to October. The Acciaioli panoramic road leads to the beach of Comacchio.
