History reminds us the importance men gave during the centuries to this
place and its building, and how it adapted to the passing of time:
from ancient hospice for pilgrims to inn for travelers and carters, who
transformed it into the center for the exchange of goods.
At the end of the 18th century, it was transformed into an ambitious
hotel to welcome the first tourists coming from beyond the Alps and
has nowadays become a famous restaurant for the cuisine of Ampezzo.
