Podestagno Castle, probably built around the year 1000, was
occupied by the captains of the Patriarch of Aquileia until 1420, by
the captains of the Republic of Venice until 1511, and afterwards by
the lieutenants of the Emperor of Austria until its ruin (end of 18th century).
It has been for centuries a strategic bulwark on the compulsory passage
of rio Felizon ravine. Of the castle now only some ruins of the
ancient basement remain on the top of the stronghold.
