Tribute to Rinaldo Zardini
The current flora is the result of the great changes occurred in the
past geological epochs; it adapted with the passing of time to the
great climatic changes deriving from the geological events and
glaciations. The alpine flowers are often the result of the migrations
of the species living in the Siberian steppe, in the Mediterranean
Africa, or in the Arctic. The ancestors of the well-known edelweiss can
be found in the Asian steppe of Antai, the ones of the Stone pine in
southern Siberia...
