(Pisa, 28 Nov 14) Out of more than seventy Parks all over Europe, the European Council chose the Migliarino San Rossore Massaciuccoli Nature Park and its San Rossore Estate to host, on 21st and 22nd May 2015, the celebrations for the 50th anniversary of the European Diploma of Protected Areas' establishment.
Nine years after the last international conference - which took place in Thayatal, Austria, at the border with Czech Republic - that of 2015 is a unique opportunity for the Park and for its territory, thanks to the national and international visibility which such an event will guarantee: the protected area will become for three days the center of interesting exchanges regarding the management experiences of about a hundred of people coming from all over Europe. During the meeting many managers, technicians and experts on behalf of many among Europe's most significant Protected Areas - whose level of excellence has been certified with the issue of such acknowledgement - will meet to discuss about the management problems and the future perspectives.
During the event - for which the Park Authority asked for the patronage of the President of the Italian Republic and for the presence of the Minister of Environment - the guests not only will take part in the theme sessions provided by the seminar taking place in the San Rossore Estate, but they will also carry out guided visits within the Park and in other areas of European and international interest of the surrounding places.
