Ponti sul Mincio is of medieval origin, but many archaeological findings show that it was inhabited even in the protohistory. It is situated on a hill where also a castle was built.
Besides the castle there is also the Sant'Antonio Abate parish church. The uphill road towards the Mount Casale not only offers an extraordinary view, but it also commemorates the last important battle at the end of World War II (30th April, 1945), with a gravestone for the fallen placed there.
Another important feature is the regulation system of the Garda lake towards Salionze (1950), the thermoelectric plant near Verona and Brescia. These slopes are famous for the C.D.O. wine production.
