History routes between Garda and Po
8 thematic itineraries in the short guides of Terre del Mincio
(Mantova, 13 Dec 13) Two short guides propose eight thematic itineraries in the Terre del Mincio, presenting the territory between the Garda lake and the Po river through its thousand-year old history - Arcehomincio - and historical events - Mincio and War: they are the popular version of the studies carried out by two researchers expert in the respective sectors of the Mincio Park, two pocket-sized short guides with 36 pages describing details and itineraries that can be covered also by bike, with many photographs and maps.
They are the new publishing products "Terre del Mincio" - the first of a book series that is going to be published soon - that in these days are being distributed among the river partners, including the municipalities of Peschiera del Garda and Valeggio sul Mincio.
The initiative was presented on Friday 13th December by the Mincio Park, which is the coordinator of the European project entitled "Terre del Mincio, waterfront dal Garda al Po" - a great area project co-financed with the FESR European funds - and which thanks to the large network of project partners (14 municipalities, the Province, the Curia) is implementing many enhancement works.
Presented by the President of the Mincio Park Maurizio Pellizzer the two new thematic short guides lead the way for further publishing products whose publication is planned for the first months of the present year.
