The peri-urban Park of the city of Mantua is a green route, open to pedestrians and cyclists, which in some of its stretches follows part of the banks of the three lakes that the river Mincio originates around the main town.
The Middle Lake's stretch is a ring-route which passes along the two city's bridges: from the bridge of the Mills up to Cittadella's door it enters the green area housing the ruins of one of the city fortifications, and it comes out near the small tower of "Sparafucile" along the San Giorgio bridge (a subway will be soon built in order to avoid the crossing) where it is possible to admire a wonderful view of the city of Gonzaga from.
The other stretches follow the right bank of the Lower lake towards the city or of the Middle lake up to Porta Mulina, where one reaches the Upper lake. Here you can choose: turning left you reach Belfiore (and from there you can even reach the village of Grazie), turning right you reach the Fontana forest or the Bertone forest, or you can also reach the Mantova-Peschiera.
The Mincio Park and the province of Mantua realized the " Bike map… for handlebars": download them, print them and cut them along the dotted line.
