From Cavriana (North-West) up to Massimbona (Southeast direction) a long and exciting itinerary develops on roads and paths, crossing and surrounding towns and small villages. It is the stretch of the famous Via Carolingia which crosses the morenic amphitheater south of Garda lake in the territory of Volta Mantovana, and which offers the visitors the opportunity to experience an ancient pilgrimage or to walk an epic medieval itinerary following the Frank kings when they climbed down from the alpine passes towards the Central Italy.
