The itinerary leaves from Vittone parish church in Grignasco and touches Santa Maria delle Grazie Church. Along the SC road you will meet fountain Carpo and then you will reach Carola country hamlet.
Go ahead touching the country hamlets of Bertolotto, Mollia d'Arrigo (near the square in front of the small church dedicated to St Joseph, you can admire the final stretch of Valsesia dominated by San Lorenzo di Gattinara castle and the Po Plain), continue across a coppice woodland up to Bertasacco (locality that, until the 1960s, housed two taverns, but which is now abandoned).
Follow upstream Valle del Magiaiga touching old summer grazing lands now abandoned, "l'Agru", until you reach the bridge on rio Boretta; a short uphill stretch leads to Paradiso, where it is possible to admire one of the most interesting rural houses with gallery.
Continue your walk along rows of fruit chestnut trees until you reach Cerianelli and the town of Colma, with the characteristic saddle-shaped structure, and with the oratory of San Michele and San Antonio Abate Church situated on the two opposite sides (in the latter, the remains of the canon Nicolao Sottile are preserved); in the town center there is the church dedicated to Maria Maddalena.
After leaving the town, along the firebreak trail, you will find the junction with the trail leading to Alpe Fenera, destroyed in 1936 by a fire. From here, go ahead until you reach the summit dominated by a cross of about 12 meters of height, placed here in 1906.
In this point it is possible to admire a complete landscape of the Western Alps and the whole underlying plain. The firebreak trail gives the opportunity to reach Piana dell'Orto and then to go ahead up to Cote quarry, and then to the proto-Romanesque church of S. Quirico. At the junction, continue southwards along an undulating trail running along the practice wall, and reach Sasso del Diavolo. A quick downhill trail will lead to the town of Ara, which is worth a visit. The dirt road leads to the cave and then branches off, after the recreational area, towards the church of S. Graziano di Grignasco.
