From Mariotti Mountain Hut take again the trail 729 of the previous lap, back until you reach the junction at about 1,600m, in front of Capanna del Braiola 1,610m (0.30). From here go down on the right along trail 727 up to 1,539m: after fording on foot the seasonal stream at the foot of Bocchetta dell'Orsaro, turn left along trail 727/a, climbing on the mountainside the south-eastern slope of Mt. Orsaro, reaching Sella del Mt. Fosco 1,617m (0.30-1.00).
