The Municipal Villa of Cittanova, built at the end of the 19th century by the then mayor Carlo Ruggero to a design by the Swiss engineer and agronomist Enrico Fehr, is a concrete and successful example of a plant union between botanically and ecologically distant species.
The Villa, which occupies an area of 2.5 hectares, is divided into two parts: the communal gardens: in English style, triangular in shape and divided by two avenues that intersect to form an "X". At this intersection there is a monumental fountain.
