(Riomaggiore, 02 Nov 17) Cinque Terre National Park has prepared the Communication Plan (CP) for the MAREGOT Marittimo Interreg Project, of which the Park leads the communication component together with Regione Liguria.
The Communication Plan is a fundamental document which defines the activities and shared strategy of the 14 project partners, located in five strategic areas (Liguria, Tuscany, Sardinia, Corsica and Var, in the French PACA Region), to carry out information and sensitisation activities on the topics on which MAREGOT focuses. The project aims at improving knowledge and monitoring systems on coastal erosion, both natural and man-induced, in order to define strategies and intervention plans for an effective, shared management of the coast, respecting the specific characteristics of each territory.
The document is available in Italian and French at the Marittimo website http://interreg-maritime.eu/it/web/maregot/
The information material and the events, which will follow the timeline and guidelines of the CP, will address all the categories involved in coast management: local authorities, operators, associations, research centres, as well as users - citizens, tourists and students of all ages.
Prevention is one of the strategic purposes of MAREGOT, not only to preserve marine and coastal biodiversity, but also to promote good practices and responsible behaviours in coast management and use.
