Monterosso: Poems in the shadow of the Giant

Saturday 19 May, at 4 pm, a literary naturalistic itinerary starting from Fegina to learn more about the poet Eugenio Montale, organized by the E.Montale Literary Park and Cinque Terre.

(Manarola - Sede Parco Cinque Terre, 17 May 18) While walking, the themes linked to the Montalian poetry are explored through its places of the soul: Villa Montale, the beach of the Giant, the Purtigiùn beach with the pines of Aleppo, are just some of the stages (childhood and love) of the nobel prize. Then go up to the Hermitage of Sant'Antonio del Mesco.

From the naturalistic point of view are the Mesco, the sea and the natural beauties the strengths of the walk.
Route: Fegina – Gigante – Purtigiùn – Villa Montale – Punta Mesco (optional depending on the level of hiking preparation of the group)

Duration: 3 hours approx
Difficulty: touristic in the first part, excursion in the second part on the path that leads to Punta Mesco. 
Meeting Point: in front of Info Point Parco, Monterosso train station

Clothing: We recommend suitable footwear such as trekking shoes or trainers.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE
Participation in the walk is free, upon reservation (max 25 participants), EXCLUSIVELY for Cinque Terre Card holders, (Cinque Terre Trekking Card e Cinque Terre Card Treno MS). The Cinque Terre Card can be purchased at the Park Info Points, in the Cinque Terre railway stations, including La Spezia and Levanto. The plan may vary according to the state of practicability of the trails or in case of adverse weather conditions.
