Path no. 509 Monterosso-Soviore: updated about the works
Works for the recovery of the historic path connecting the hamlet to its Marian shrine carry on.
(Manarola - Sede del Parco, 09 Apr 21) The appointed company is finishing the reconstruction of the pavement, the stone steps and the arrangement of the drainage channels for the water optimisation, planned by the Park to restore the optimal usability of the path connecting the village of Monterosso to the Sanctuary of Nostra Signora di Soviore (Path no. 509).

In addition, in the last few days, the stretch has been the object of further routine maintenance works: in particular, the maintenance team assigned to Monterosso has cut down and dismantled the perishing trees and reclaimed a landslide slope between the Sanctuary and the Chapel of S. Maria Maddalena.
Surface water drainage works (a metal channel and concrete wells built about 25 years ago), which were completely obstructed, are being restored, and the slope is being re-profiled by building dry stone walls at the base to facilitate water filtration.
