The works will lead to redefine the railway circulation starting from Thursday, with traffic only being possible on one track.
When the works begin, circulation will be stopped on the Genoa-La Spezia track, between Levanto and Corniglia from midnight on Thursday, 9 February to 11.59 p.m. on Sunday, 12 February; from 8.00 a.m. on Thursday, 16 February to 5.00 a.m. on Monday, 20 February; and finally, from 10.30 p.m. on Tuesday, 23 May to 4.00 p.m. on Saturday, 27 May. On these dates, moreover, the regional offer will be redefined, with limitation in the Levanto railway station of four trains from La Spezia to Genoa and 12 regional trains from Genoa to La Spezia. Also on these dates, from 6.00 a.m. to 11.00 p.m., all freight trains will be diverted to alternative routes.
Works began in November with night-time operations that did not affect the railway traffic. Now daytime works are necessary, and a timetable has been drawn up to reduce difficulties for passengers. These works are compulsory, and they will be completed in the very first days of June, aimed at improving the usability and safety of the Monterosso railway station.
