Parco Nazionale delle Foreste Casentinesi, Monte Falterona, Campigna

The town, located on the Florentine side of the Park, is the ideal starting point for excursions to Falterona, Falco, and Monte Acuto. Castagno is the birthplace of the painter Andrea del Castagno, a great Florentine Renaissance artist, and a permanent exhibition in the Park Visitor Centre describes his work.
