The new Visitor Center, inaugurated on 6th July 2008, is situated within the building formerly housing the Grand Hotel, a luxury hotel opened in 1888 and an elite tourist destination between the late 19th century and the early 20th century.
The main theme of the new exhibit is the relationship between the alpine ibex and man in history and art until present times. There are interesting multimedia instruments at the visitors' disposal, as well as reconstructions of a cave with prehistoric graffiti representing the first alpine ibex and hunting scenes.
Moreover, on display you will find everyday use objects, paintings and photo collections, as well as references to myths and legends born around this mountain animal. The Center is situated in Borgata Prese, in Ceresole Reale (Tel. +39 0124 953166).
