The Centre is located in the quiet hamlet of S. Croce di Caramanico, close to the town's ancient sulphurous water springs. The centre houses a small museum: the nature section has showcases dedicated to the Maiella geology and fossils, reconstructions of the Park's environments such as beech woods, cliffs and mugo thickets, and the Otter's Den, an educational museum tour that reconstructs the underground den of this rare aquatic mustelid.
