(Visso, 02 Nov 16) Monti Sibillini National Park has currently no access to its institutional headquarters, as the offices are located within the Red Zone of Visso, and are not usable at the moment. In the last few days, meetings took place between local authorities and Park managers, in primis president Oliviero Olivieri and director Carlo Bifulco, in order to identify a feasible solution to guarantee the Park's capacity to perform its tasks on site.
Yesterday, Olivieri and Bifulco met the Mayor of Visso, Giuliano Pazzaglini, to identify the area where emergency office spaces are going to be placed, to temporarily host the Park's work. The site under evaluation is the area around the swimming pool, where the Park authority could also find a more structured location in the future.
"The Park is and remains in Visso" Bifulco stressed. "Even without headquarters, we are working in several directions to restore the offices' work. This is why, together with the office spaces that we are going to have in Visso, we have moved the IT structures and other Park units to the premises of other local authorities, which can host us in this difficult phase, and presumably until next June at least". The other identified premises, besides Visso, are the Veterinary Preventive Medicine Institute of Umbria and Marche, in Tolentino, and the Regional Centre for Civil Protection, in Foligno.
Updates will be posted when available on the Park website (www.sibillini.net) and on the Facebook page.
