Parco Nazionale della Sila

Gruppo Micologico Naturalistico Silano, based in Camigliatello Silano, was born in 1990 on some local mycophiles' initiative, but also thanks to the interest demonstrated by journalists and professors of the University of Calabria.
Since 1990, the Group has considerably grown, and with it the initiatives promoting the world of mushrooms and the naturalistic heritage of the Sila.
Besides the organization of the "Mushroom Festival" - attracting thousands of people - the Group organizes other initiatives also thanks to the collaboration with Sila National Park, with results on the economic and environmental plan.
The publication "I funghi del Parco Nazionale della Sila" is one of the results of the activities carried out by this Group.
