The hike starts from the Copone spring in Marsicovetere, a well-known locality thanks to its mineral waters, and it climbs up to Tuppo delle Seti, from where a beech forest leading to the plain of Piano dell'Imperatore can be reached, where it is possible to admire the Madonna dell'Assunta Sanctuary. From the small mountain church through the forest one reaches the highest summit in the Volturino mountains at the altitude of 1,836 m.
