(Vogogna, 30 Jun 11) Within the events of "Parchi 2011", for the 150th Anniversary of the Unification of Italy and "Musica in quota", summer festival of alpine concerts, on Saturday 9th July 2011, in Pian d'Arla (between Colle and Passo Folungo), at 8.30 p.m., Val Grande National Park presents "Confini, conflitti e confetti" (Borders, Conflicts, and Weddings), a music performance dedicated to the search for the diversities that unite.
The performance, held by the transfrontier band FABALAIRAT, invites to reflect in a funny way on the real meaning of the term "border". Do the mountains divide or unite? Smuggling and emigration: is it possible to talk about it without becoming rhetorical? Is the identity an evolving value and does it enrich itself through the meeting of cultures? Or is it an alibi enabling us to shut the world out?
Pian d'Arla is accessible by car, but also on foot. The Park Authority and the Province of Verbano Cusio Ossola organize a guided tour with departure from Colle at 4.00 p.m. Outward journey along the uphill trail to Mt. Spalavera; return journey, after the performance, along "Strada Cadorna".
In case of bad weather, the performance will be held at Villa Bernocchi in Premeno.
