Environmental education has become an increasingly priority requirement for the community. The issue of regulations, to protect the environment and living beings, are not sufficient to solve environmental problems, so the participation and the involvement of society and individual citizens are necessary and fundamental.
One of the objectives of the Oglio Nord Park Authority is that of environmental education also understood as information, considering this indispensable in order to re-establish a fair human-environment relationship, with the hope that man will lose his self-centered figure and, with modesty and admiration, will become part of nature.
This publication, which follows on from those previously published, aims to raise awareness of the fish fauna present in the waters of our river and the smaller waterways connected to it.
The presence of certain fish species is an indication of the health of the river, and this data is fundamental for any restoration works of the most compromised waters and for the possible reintroduction of indigenous and valuable fish species, once common and now almost compromised.
