Val Canali is considered one of the most beautiful alpine valleys and represents the southern gateway to the dolomitic group of Pale di San Martino. Besides the panorama of the Pale, water is the protagonist of the suggested itinerary: the water of streams or creeks or the snow covering the mountain summits.
The itinerary leaves from Villa Welsperg car park. Take the trail developing along the orographic right side of stream Canali, crossing a mixed woodland of beech trees and spruce firs, opening in sudden but charming clearings, important source of food for deer and roe deer, often enriched by the presence of the characteristic "masi".
