Parco del Po Torinese and the territory of the tourist area "Po Confluenze Nord Ovest" are made of a mosaic of different landscapes, that can be divided in three groups:

  • "Po dei Laghi", that is the area extending in the south of Turin, up to the northernmost Municipalities of the Province of Cuneo, characterized by the presence of the several quarry lakes
  • "Po dei Re", that is the town of Turin and its belt, characterized by the residences and evidences of the House of Savoy, which in the 18th century was called "Corona di Delitie"
  • "Po delle Colline", that is the territory between the Po hills, Canavese, and Lower Vercellese, around the town of Chivasso.

The Park Authority organizes projects of local promotion for the fruition of the territory in association with the Municipalities, the Local Tourist Board ATL 1 Turismo Torino e Provincia, with Regione Piemonte, Provincia di Torino, the Po River and Collina Torinese Landscape Observatory, with the theater company Faber Teater, with the Local Tourist Boards, and with various sports and recreational associations, like for instance Bici&Dintorni from Turin, Club Alpino Italiano section of Moncalieri, the Regional Committee of the Canoa Kayak Italian Federation, the Regional Committee of the Canoeing Italian Federation, the Association SPORT Canoeing from Turin, the horseriding tourism association Cavalcavalli.
