Parco Regionale dello Stirone e del Piacenziano

Fossils and nature a few steps from the old town center: the path begins in the equipped area downstream of the bridge in Castell'Arquato sull'Arda, which can be reached from the Via Frati.
The route follows a road open to vehicles which is parallel to the right bank of the stream, where one can observe the fossil layers brought to light by the river erosion, and where today a European bee-eater community lives.
