Ticino Park houses 48 species of mammals out of the 104 terrestrial mammals living in Italy. The book illustrates the population history of the mammals in the valley, and then takes into consideration the current species, describing for each of them the traces, the habitat and the ecology, the behavior and situation in Ticino Park. A chapter is dedicated to the research activities and the activities carried out to discover the Park mammals, as well as the activities that wildlife-lovers can practice to favor the presence and reproduction of these animals.
