The book deals with the history of the man/wolf relationship in the Pinerolese territory and in the adjacent valleys. This volume has been suggested by Gruppo di Ricerca di Piscina, which has been studying the local history for many years, and aims at demonstrating how certain problems could influence in the past the emotions and behavior of the inhabitants of these valleys and plains. Tales, proverbs, beliefs, individual and common memories reflect the dominating feelings which, in small communities, can characterize a whole historical period.
