The name of the Appennino Reggiano's sheep milk cheese has been published on the Republic's Official Journal (pursuant to the legislative decree 173/98 and ministerial decree 350/99) and included in the national annual list of the traditional agricultural-food products, while the request for the recognition as a PDO product is underway. The Appennino Reggiano sheep milk cheese produced with raw milk is already included in the Slow Food Presidia list.
