Scoglio a Penna delimits Ieranto Bay on the opposite side of Punta Campanella, and has been named after its shape resembling a pointed pen (Scoglio a Penna means "pen-shaped rock"). This is without a doubt one of the most beautiful areas of our coast, famous also for the richness of the fish passing by (tunas, bonitos, and shoals of greater amberjacks), richness given to the currents rich in food coming from the Gulf of Salerno. However, because of these currents, it is necessary to pay attention during the diving activity, avoiding to go too far from the circumference of the rock, so rich in features leading us to stop by and observe it. As a matter of fact, the wall is rich in yellow-orange parazoanthus, as well as several and big paramuricea specimens.
