The Istituto delle Civiltà del mare - "ICIMAR" - was established with the aim to foster the knowledge and the study of the sea problems in its scientific, cultural and social elements.
Through the publication of books and magazines, the organization of conferences and professional training courses the purpose is to lead the community towards a socioeconomic sustainable development model for both the territory and the people.
