Via dei Canti

  • Trail Conditions: On foot
  • Duration: 3 hour/s

About 3 hours walking time. Marked with blue bullets, it was born to help the visitor to recognize the avifauna, not only observing it, but also listening to it. Ten panels (from A to L) have been placed where you can stop and listen to bird singing and provide also iconographic information on the species. The trail is a ring-route going from Alpe Serte (845m), where you can listen to the singing reproduction, to Passo Stretto (1,102m). Then it goes south, near "Tana del Lupo" and reaches Alpe Pessina at 1,217m of altitude. From here, thanks to a short uphill stretch to Bronzone, you can observe a monumental Whitebeam. During the return journey descending towards Alpe Serte you will find a structure dedicated to the observation of the wildlife grazing on the opposite slope dominated by the summits of Pradè and Torrione (1,805m). Next to the arrival point, that is again at Alpe Serte, you will find the rests of an ancient building and an interesting "calchera", that is an ancient lime kiln.
