The trail is accessible all year round on foot, on horseback, or by bike. Its interest is linked to the earthquake of 13 January 1915 that destroyed the whole town of Morino, causing thousands of victims between Avezzano and Valle Roveto. This town, like other damaged towns, has no longer been reconstructed. The survivors moved to a new town in the valley bottom.
