We can improve the safeguard of the PLIS (local park involving more Municipalities) areas from disturbance actions not implementing it with prohibitions and access preclusion to reduce the impact of an unrestrained and irresponsible human presence, but strategically through education, involving people in the respect the environment through adequate behaviors. From this point of view, environmental education is essential. This transversal discipline aims first of all at informing individuals and communities that we are living in a complex environmental context, both as far as nature and culture are concerned, instilling into them the necessary values, knowledge, and behaviors for a responsible participation to the management of the environmental heritage. Therefore, environmental education is important to ensure that the nature development and landscape maintenance are considered in the decision-making process.
