Feltre walnut breaks easily, even simply cracking it with the fingers. This walnut variety has a sub-elliptical shape (egg-shaped), with rounded base and pointed top, and almost imperceptible suture edge. The average weight goes from 6 to 10 grams; the shell is clear, less thick (1-2 mm) than the average of the other varieties. Not very wrinkled, smoother than other varieties, you can eat the 56% of it (out of 10gr, about 5.6 are edible). You can easily separate the kernel from the shell.
It is one of the most famous varieties for its fine organoleptic features.
