To visit the reserve well, it is advisable to stay overnight at the Dal Piaz refuge, which can be reached by going up from Passo Croce d'Aune in 3 hours of walking.
The second day is dedicated to the visit of the integral reserve of Piazza del Diavolo: one of the naturalistic sanctuaries of the Park, a mysterious place that legend has it as a meeting place for witches.
From the refuge take the Alta Via n. 1 (CAI path 801) up to the Vette Grandi pass, then cross the splendid glacial cirque of Busa delle Vette up to the Pietena pass. The path continues along the Busa di Pietena, runs alongside the Valon fork (from which you can look out onto the vertical north slopes of the Vette Feltrine) and reaches Piazza del Diavolo. A magical place: a labyrinth of huge blocks of rock arranged in a circle around a large grassy area. This incredible conformation, which gave rise to various popular legends, is probably linked to the collapse of a rocky tower on whose side there was a small glacial circus.
IMPORTANT NOTE: since you are in an Integral Reserve area, it is forbidden to leave the path.
