By Car

Ordinary Roads:

  • Leave the highway A3 between the tollbooths of Lauria Nord, in Basilicata, and Spezzano Terme, in Calabria to reach many towns of the Park which are connected with SS 19. This road crosses the Protected Area.
    In Calabria, on the Tyrrhenian slope along SS 18 from Tortora to Belvedere M.mo it is possible to go along many roads leading towards the inland. Among them: SS 504, from Scalea, across Santa Domenica Talao to Papasidero and Mormanno; SS 105, from Belvedere M.mo to Castrovillari and Francavilla M.ma. Here it is also possible to reach the Ionian coast by taking SS 92, if you come from SS 106.
    On this side it is also possible - if you come from the north-east on SS 106 - to take SS 653, leading to Valsinni in Valsarmento. Beyond the lake of Monte Cotugno it is possinble to reach Valle del Frido. Along this road visitors go by the thermal area in Latronico and reach the highway junction of Lauria Nord.
 

By Train

Railway Stations:

Important railway stations are:

  • Sapri in Campania
  • Policoro, Maratea, and Potenza in Basilicata.
  • Scalea, Paola, Sibari, and Cosenza in Calabria

If you want to reach the Park Municipalities from Cosenza railway station there is a bus service of Ferrovia della Calabria or, from Matera and Potenza, SITA local public bus service.

 

By Plane

Airports:

  • The nearest airports are in Lamezia Terme, Naples, and Bari.
