Guidebook + Map
The survey, which began in 1995 with the sending of a questionnaire to
over 2,000 foreign Institutional contacts, has been divided into four
areas of interest: historical (chronological, devotional), artistic
(materials, techniques), environmental (vegetational, landscape), and
managerial (safeguard, financing, fruition). Particular attention has
been paid to the topographical and urbanistic configuration of the
place. The publication consists of a selection of answers sent to the
Documentation Center and of the planimetric and photographic
representations of some of the registered sites. Together with the most
famous places, also less important complexes have been considered in
order to promote reflection on common issues.
