The Great Traverse of Vena del Gesso Park

Unforgettable two-day tour

  • Trail Conditions: On foot
  • Interest: Flora, Wildlife, Geology, Panorama, Photography
  • Length: 20 km

The four ring-routes are connected in order to form an itinerary touching the valleys of Santerno, Senio, Sintria, and Lamone and giving the opportunity to carry out an unforgettable two-day tour, sleeping in Brisighella or in Tossignano. Leaving from one of these two towns is therefore possible to reach the opposite end of Vena del Gesso Romagnola, crossing the whole Park.
Both the outward and the return journey of this exciting traverse are about twenty kilometers each and take about 9 hours of walk.
The stretch of the itinerary following the gypsum crags is part of Alta Via dei Parchi, connecting with Foreste Casentinesi National Park and Laghi di Suviana e Brasimone Regional Park.
