Central stretch, demanding both in terms of length and of difference in elevation.

From the environmental standpoint this is the most interesting stretch, with rocky areas, Mediterranean vegetation and karst landscapes.

If the stretch proves too demanding, it is advisable to split it in two halves, stopping in Borgo Rivola (overnight at hostel or holiday farm) and reaching Cà Carnè hut on the following day.
