Directions
Sacro Monte d'Orta is situated in the north-west of Italy, at about 90 km from Milan, 110 km from Turin, and 45 km from the border with Switzerland.
By Car
If you travel by car, the best exit is Borgomanero, along the highway A26 Voltri Sempione, situated at about 15 km from Orta. At the exit of the highway, please follow the indications to Borgomanero - Gozzano - Orta. Once you reach the parking areas in Orta you can leave the car and climb on foot (for about 10 minutes), or reach the parking area situated at the Park entrance. The coaches cannot reach this point, and must be parked in the parking area at the beginning of the uphill stretch.
By Train
If you travel by train, you must take the Novara - Domodossola line and get off at Orta-Miasino railway station. From the station to the S. Monte it takes 20 minutes on foot.
