Riserva Naturale Orientata Sughereta di Niscemi

The area of Niscemi was characterized in the past by vast and luxuriant woodlands which, together with the adjacent woodland of Santo Pietro, formed a unitary forest complex. The production of cork was a primary economic resource for the local people.
